Contract Labourer – Three Months

August 12, 2022

Duties:

  • Delivering fencing and/or recycle carts to customers in Saskatoon and surrounding area
  • Operation of the parts vehicle to pick up orders from vendors and perform internal deliveries.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and policies according to company Safety Manual and OH&S Regulations.
  • Completing general duties around shop and yard, including general cleaning, and washing of waste collection equipment.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be in good physical condition
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised
  • Experience operating equipment is considered an asset
  • Minimum valid Class 5 driver’s license with acceptable abstract required.
  • Air Brake Endorsement considered an asset

Class 1A/3A Driver – Prince Albert Branch

Duties:

  • Training for and operation of Front-end, Roll-Off, or Side-Load waste and recycling collection equipment as a full-time operator, training on equipment is provided.
  • Coordination with fellow operators and employees within other departments to ensure maximum efficiency in daily operations.
  • Container maintenance, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as requested, when additional drivers aren’t required.
  • Adherence to company, and customer, site safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Class 3A license required (1A preferred) with clear abstract (submit with resume)
  • Strong knowledge of Prince Albert and surrounding area
  • Minimum 1 year solid driving experience- short haul/ city experience preferred
  • Hydraulic equipment experience, and/or farm background an asset
  • Dispatch experience considered an asset
  • Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised
  • Excellent logistical and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills

Auto Body Technician / Industrial Painter

July 29, 2022

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Paint refuse containers and other miscellaneous parts and items
  • Paint waste hauling equipment – including masking and taping to protect surfaces such as finished paint, glass, hydraulic components, etc.
  • Stencil and decal of containers according to prescribed formulas for various styles of containers
  • Communicate with operations department about upcoming needs and prioritization of tasks
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, including completion of applicable documents and reporting of potential issues or safety concerns.
  • Various other duties as required, including buildings and facilities work, and other duties as assigned
  • Work will be completed outdoors where weather and projects allow

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role is valuable, but Loraas is willing to train a less experienced candidate
  • Knowledge and experience with both air-assisted airless, and HVLP spray systems an asset
  • Knowledge of paints, thinners, and epoxy coatings an asset
  • Mechanical aptitude an asset
  • Auto body experience is an asset
  • Candidates must have a strong focus on safety procedures and preventative measures
